Mission
We help dogs and cats in need through foster homes, medical care, adoption support, education, and community resources.
S’more Dogs Rescue is a volunteer-run, foster-based rescue for dogs and cats. We help when there is a safe foster home, a realistic plan, and the support needed to do right by the animal.
We help dogs and cats in need through foster homes, medical care, adoption support, education, and community resources.
We are small, foster-based, and volunteer-run. We do not have a shelter facility, paid staff, emergency intake team, or unlimited foster homes.
S’more Dogs Rescue was founded by a disabled single mom. We believe rescue should be rooted in compassion, honesty, accessibility, and community — for animals and the people who love them.
Our application is longer than many because we match the needs and wants of both the pet and adopter — not just because someone liked a photo.
S’more was our founder’s first foster and the namesake of S’more Dogs Rescue. She came to us as a short-term medical foster after being found with Sundae during a wildfire. She was adopted by a wonderful family, but her story opened the door to the rescue work that followed.

S’more Dogs Rescue grew out of Sam I Am Outreach. Sam I Am Outreach is the prevention mission: education, training resources, support, and helping people understand that pets are a responsibility and a lifetime commitment.

Some are medical cases. Some need training. Some are shy, silly, spicy, or extra cuddly. Buster is one of the sweet faces who reminds us that rescue is not just about saving lives — it is about letting every animal be seen and loved for who they are.
